Automatic 8/16mm processing system (Filmomat required)

After several years of research, it is finally possible to process 8mm and 16mm motion picture films with the Filmomat!

With this brand new system, you can process up to 2x15m Super-8 or 1x15m 16mm/Double-8 film at once. The system is designed for maximum efficiency - only 500 mL of chemistry are required to operate the tank.

The beautifully designed processing tank is made from durable polyamide plastic. A powerful motor provides the necessary rotation of the film spirals inside the tank. The tank connects easily to the Filmomat, just like the standard 135/120 tank.

The system includes two film spirals which take up 15m film each. Different configurations of the spirals are possible for processing different film types and quantities. You can process up to:

2x 15m Super 8

1x 15m 16mm/Double 8

After processing, the film needs to be dried. Specially designed drying clips are available HERE in the store (not included). Using these clips, the 15m long film can be conveniently placed inside a standard drying cabinet. We recommend the compact Heiland Film dryer (please visit: https://heilandelectronic.de/film_dryer), hand-made by our friends at Heiland-electronic in Wetzlar, germany.

Please note:

This tank can not be used stand-alone. It requires the Filmomat film processor to operate. You can not process a full 30m roll of 16mm film with this system at once. Instead, the film has to be split into 2x15m portions and processed separately.
